Atis, born in Hong Kong, grew up in a music family. She started her piano journey under Miss Miu Ho Yan’s guidance at the age of seven. In her tertiary education, she got a place from Hong Kong Baptist University in the Music Stream. She studied with well-known pianist and educator -- Ms Lau Lively Stone, Grace. Atis graduated with an academic degree with honors from the Music Department at the Hong Kong Baptist University, and is going to pursue a master's degree there. Atis won several major prizes in piano solo competitions of the Hong Kong Music Festival, and was awarded the champion, the second and the third in the year of 2003, 2006 and 2007 respectively.

 

When she was young, she participated in varies music performances, including the piano solo in the Music Fruit Recital held by her piano teacher-Miss Miu Ho Yan. She also joined a musical marathon held by Oxfam. At her teenage age, she is the pianist in the strings ensemble -- Commuiso. She has devoted herself in various community performances, such as performance at the Hong Kong International Airport and The Hong Kong Cultural Centre. She was a pianist for her school Women’s chorus in 2011.

 

During her school life, she gained teaching experience in classic piano, pop piano, hymnals and music theory. She is a great pianist and lovely partner in many kinds of music examination and performance. High appreciation was given by her students whom she accompanied violin, flute, oboe, trumpet and vocal; her students achieve merits in their performances. Being enthusiastic in the early childhood development through music, she also worked as a kindergarten music teacher and music playgroup assistant.
